Miami Hamilton Downtown Offers Leadership Workshop, May 15

Miami University Hamilton Downtown will host a workshop titled Transforming Your Leadership Style from 12 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.on Friday, May 15.

This workshop will analyze the Full-Range Model of Leadership including Transformational Leadership, Transactional Leadership, and Lais­sez-Faire Leadership. There will be group discussion and a personal inventory analysis in the area of multi-leadership factor questions. This workshop is facilitated by Miami Hamilton’s Dr. Lucinda Parmer.

A light lunch will be provided. This workshop is free and open to the public. An RSVP is required. RSVP no later than May 12 or call 513.785.7711. Miami University Hamilton Downtown is located at 221 High Street in Hamilton.

New Use for Old Garbage Cans

Regarding the distribution of new garbage cans to our citizens, HEY! Hamilton! reader Woody Parman offers this  creative re-use of the old ones:

“Cut them in half – 2/3rds for the top section and 1/3rd for the bottom. Drill drainage holes in the bottom section and fill with dirt for a large tomato or flower planter. The top 2/3rd section – with the lid can be used for a compost bin, just drill multiple holes in the sides for air circulation.”

Woody said he’s working on his own project and will send photos when he’s done, but he helped us find other examples of repurposing old trash cans as planters:
