The City of Hamilton announces a vacant volunteer position on the Board of Zoning Appeals (BZA). The City is seeking candidates to fill a recently vacated position on the BZA. City of Hamilton residents who are interested in serving as a volunteer on the Board of Zoning Appeals (BZA) are encouraged to apply. This is a unique opportunity for civic involvement at a time of heightened development and redevelopment interest. Responsibilities of the Board of Zoning Appeals (described in Sections 1155.00, 1160.00 and 1170.00 of the Hamilton Zoning Ordinance) primarily involve the review of temporary uses of structures, interpretation of the Zoning Ordinance, review of Conditional Uses, and review of Variances from the requirements of the Zoning Ordinance within the City of Hamilton.
The Board of Zoning Appeals meets the first Thursday of every month, except scheduled City holidays, at 1:30 pm in the City Council Chambers, Municipal Building, 1st Floor, 345 High Street.
